Dan Dougan’s Listening Hours take place at the Black (Purple) Box Theater at the Gateway Film Center every Thursday.
An enclosed space near the bar, (at the top of the stairs/escalator) the box is an acoustic wonder. The paneled room’s design provides a warm lush environment for music. Listening Hours are intended to provide an atmosphere where performers don’t need to compete with bar conversations. The Purple Box is ideal for this purpose.
Doors for these events open @ 7 pm and shows start @ 8 pm.
Cover is $5.
Parking is cheap and easy at the garage behind the Gateway – validate ticket at the Gateway Film Center’s bar for $1.
